Green Foodie :
An app that makes a difference.

This project was initiated by the idea of impacting global warming positively and to encourage sustainable behaviour. Through primary and secondary research, user feedback testing and development of ideas, I was able to find problems and create a solution from my findings. By discovering what CO2 is and its impact on the environment, as well as the minimal understanding humans have of this, I started to question how these habits had been ingrained. In particular, what were bad habits that could be encouraged and trained to be positive towards the environment? I questioned what areas of people’s lives were easy to manipulate but were making large impacts, which led me to the research on food. I found an immense amount of primary and secondary research on our carbon footprints in our food and the way we associate it with seasons, availability and impact on the environment. This was a leading point in my research from which the idea of green foodie and new carbon footprint labels came about.
